How to act for civilians who were injured during hostilities
Опубліковано: August 22, 2023

Families with wounded (civilian) or those killed in hostilities can receive humanitarian, psychosocial and legal assistance through the Charitable Fund "Development and Social Justice of Ukraine", tel. 0950365633. 0966452439.

IMPORTANT POINTS. WHAT THOSE WHO HAVE RECEIVED WOUNDS IN THE COURSE OF MILITARY ACTIONS NEED TO KNOW:

When hospitalized (or when providing first aid at a paramedic station), it is necessary to take the original extract or certificate, which states "mine-explosive, gunshot, explosive injury", which will indicate the direct connection of receiving an injury or mutilation precisely because of combat actions of the aggressor (and not domestic or other trauma).

When injured during hostilities, the victims are required to testify about the war crime to the investigator and have the right to receive the original extract from the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations. It is this document that is necessary to establish the real status - injury or disability as a result of the war.

In the case of severe injuries or mutilations, the wounded have the right to issue disability due to war (not disability due to a general illness or disability due to musculoskeletal disorders, etc.). The disability certificate must state the real cause of the disability - mine-explosive injury, gunshot injury as a result of military operations. If another "general disease, musculoskeletal system dysfunction, etc." is indicated in the certificate, THIS IS A GROSS VIOLATION of a citizen's rights and is subject to a MANDATORY APPEAL. Only after receiving a certificate with a real reason for disability, the wounded will be able to receive compensation, benefits and other benefits that are provided to war disabled persons.
