Report on the implementation of the project to support wounded civilians
Published: December 14, 2023

We sincerely thank our good friends and partners, and report on the project "Center for Comprehensive Assistance to Injured Children and Adults". Thanks to the charity organization "Ukrainian Educational Platform" and DanChurhAid, our charity foundation "Development and Social Justice of Ukraine" during four months was able to provide various types of assistance to more than 100 families where there are wounded or dead civilians.

The project covered the city of Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region.

Description of project results:

Comprehensive psychological support was provided to the wounded project participants. Many classes were held using art therapy for civilian wounded and volunteers, individual psychological consultations of civilian wounded, volunteers. Conducted trainings - training of volunteers on psychological support of civilians who find themselves in difficult life situations.
Systematic humanitarian aid was provided (sets of products, hygiene, necessary goods).
Throughout all months of implementation, systematic legal support was provided. Assistance was provided in the preparation of applications to state bodies and employers. Work was carried out with the service service of Ukraine to provide rehabilitation facilities to persons who suffered as a result of mine and explosive injuries. The settlement of issues of accruals and payments in case of loss of working capacity due to occupational disability has been initiated and is ongoing. Prepared website materials to inform injured civilians.
The website was developed and populated (texts, photos). The site contains a lot of useful information for citizens who were physically affected by the war (social guarantees, benefits, advice on registering a disability group, etc.).
An active information campaign was carried out. The website and pages in social networks, where information about the project and useful information for the victims are published, were constantly filled with thematic publications and articles, and were promoted with the help of targeted advertising, contextual advertising, and SEO measures.
A round table was held on the topic "Social guarantees and rehabilitation of citizens physically affected by the war". Together with representatives of specialized departments and public activists, a discussion of needs and issues, support programs for this category at the local and state level, discussion of comprehensive support and social guarantees for people physically affected by the war was held.
A panel discussion was held on the topic "Psychological support of citizens who suffered from war, wounded civilians and citizens who were under occupation. Development of psychosocial support programs and the need to implement them in communities." At the event, the specifics of providing psychological assistance to victims were discussed, programs for providing psychological assistance to these categories in 2024 were proposed.
Informing and facilitating the receipt of financial aid for those who received severe injuries or traumatic amputation from explosive mines from our partner NGO "Association of Sappers of Ukraine" - the affected citizens received financial aid.

More than 100 final beneficiaries - project participants - benefited directly from the project. About 200 people benefited indirectly from the implementation of the project, because almost every injured person lives with a family whose members also received help (psychologist, lawyer, consultations from the organization's volunteers).

All project participants are very grateful to donors and benefactors for the fact that they were able to receive the much-needed help. And almost everyone is very much asking to continue to receive help from a psychologist and lawyer, other specialists, as well as to be able to receive food and hygiene kits.

Therefore, we appeal to our benefactors and all those who care who can support our initiatives - to continue to provide very important and important support to wounded civilians and their family members!
